Mo Dewji

Mo received his primary education in Arusha at the Arusha Primary School and finished his secondary education from the International School of Tanganyika (IST) in Dar Es Salam. In 1992 his parents decided to send him to America for his High School years and he was admitted to the Saddle Brooke High School in New Jersey.

It was at High School that Mo first started exhibiting signs of leadership by becoming the School President. Being a Tanzanian and holding such position in a foreign land made his family very proud. He was also voted as the Most Accomplished student at the time and it is notable to mention here that his school mate Jeniffer Capriati a very famous U.S tennis player won the same vote in the women's section.

After finishing his high school studies Mo continued with his university education in USA and joined one of the renowned university, Georgetown University in Washington D.C majoring in International Business and Finance and taking Theology as a minor subject.

 Dr Ben Carson

Benjamin Carson was born in Detroit, Michigan. His mother Sonya had dropped out of school in the third grade, and married when she was only 13. When Benjamin Carson was only eight, his parents divorced, and Mrs. Carson was left to raise Benjamin and his older brother Curtis on her own. She worked at two, sometimes three, jobs at a time to provide for her boys.

Benjamin and his brother fell farther and farther behind in school. In fifth grade, Carson was at the bottom of his class. His classmates called him "dummy" and he developed a violent, uncontrollable temper.

When Mrs. Carson saw Benjamin's failing grades, she determined to turn her sons' lives around. She sharply limited the boys' television watching and refused to let them outside to play until they had finished their homework each day. She required them to read two library books a week and to give her written reports on their reading even though, with her own poor education, she could barely read what they had written.

Within a few weeks, Carson astonished his classmates by identifying rock samples his teacher had brought to class. He recognized them from one of the books he had read. Oprah Winfrey 

Oprah Gail Winfrey was born to unmarried teenage parents. She grew up with her maternal grandmother on a small pig farm in Kosciusko, before moving to Milwaukee to live with her mother.

Her mother's lack of supervision enabled several male relatives and friends to sexually abuse Winfrey, causing her to run away on many occasions. At the age of fourteen, she gave birth to a premature baby, who died shortly after birth.

Winfrey, now faced with a threat of being sent to a children’s home, moved to Nashville to live with her father and his wife, Zelma. Her father was to provide her with the discipline that was lacking in her life.

Her father, Vernon, placed much importance on education, which resulted in Winfrey becoming an honours student at high school. Barack Obama

Barack Hussein Obama, II was born in 1961 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Ann Dunham Obama and Barack Hussein Obama, Sr. His mother was an American citizen from Kansas and his father was a Kenyan citizen from Africa who met in college in Hawaii and married. Barack was their only child. His parents divorced when he was still very young. His mother then wed his step father (Soetoro) who was Indonesian and another student she met at University. The new family moved to Jakarta for a few years. The schools were not keeping young Barack Obama challenged and so his mother sent him back to Hawaii to live with her parents so he could get a better education in the US. Bakhresa(Azam)

Said Salim Bakhresa founded and chairs the Bakhresa Group, a Tanzanian conglomerate that employs over 2,000 people and has interests in grain milling, beverages, packaging, ferry services and petroleum trading. African young billionare(Ngowi).

Ngowi got his first taste of business at 15 when as a high school student he started selling top-up vouchers. Mobile phone companies like Vodacom, Tigo and other had only just established operations in the country and the only place to find recharge vouchers were in the shopping malls and exclusive phone shops. There were very few distributors or super dealers in Arusha, a mid-sized commercial city that serves as the gateway to the northern circuit where Ngowi lives.  Ngowi noticed that most people in his neighborhood who wanted to top-up their phones had to travel significant distances to buy airtime. Spotting opportunity, Ngowi raised Tsh 50,000 (about $50) from his mother and bought top-up vouchers from the big dealers. Since he was still in high school and couldn’t devote much time to the business, he mobilized fuel station pump attendants in the local community to sell the vouchers.
